Many of you may have heard that Judge Grischow has issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) in the underlying actions in Austin (students) and Allen (staff) regarding Covid 19 mandates in Illinois. We are aware of the ruling, and we are monitoring the situation. We are aware the State has moved for a stay, and are awaiting further word on what will happen. The district was not subject to the lawsuit or the Temporary Restraining Order but is alert to the ruling and will keep the community apprised when changes are made. Given the information that we have available at this time, the district will continue to follow the Covid 19 protocols that are currently in place. School buses are subject to a federal mask mandate and were not part of this court ruling. We will provide updates regarding any changes that may occur. Please contact me with questions you may have.
