It's been an exciting week for AAMS Ag students! On Monday some of the FFA State Officers came to visit Miss Trone's ag classes. Tuesday FFA members attended a middle school rally and competed in food science, dairy science, vet science, poultry, and mini cde events. Congratulations to Makenzie Creek for being Top Individual in Food Science!

A-Town Community School District CUSD #276 is selling four old school buses and one mini bus after the Board Education declared them to be excess property and approved the sale. The five buses had been utilized by the school district to transport students and are pictured below. These four buses and one mini bus will be sold AS IS and WITH ALL FAULTS. The District will be accepting sealed bid offers for these vehicles at the District Office through Friday, September 27, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. At that time, bids will be opened to determine the best offer. If you would like to view the buses they are located at the bus garage in Abingdon. The buses are accessible for viewing during school hours by contacting Mr. Rusty Steele at (309) 462-3284.The A-Town School District office is located at 507 N. Monroe St. Abingdon, Illinois 61410

Today in Begindergarten, we had a special visit from our community librarians of Abingdon! You too can come visit A-Town Librarian each Wednesday from 4-5PM for story hour, crafts, snack and reading!

We will also be collecting canned goods and non-perishable food for the food drive during HOCO week. The class with the most items donated will earn a PIZZA PARTY on October 8, 2024. Pre-K will collect cans for Freshman;1st and 2nd will collect for Sophomores; 3rd and 4th will collect for Juniors; and 5th will collect for Seniors.
