A huge debt of gratitude for the difficult job law enforcement officers take part in every day. Abingdon-Avon Middle School served as the Command Post during the tragic events of the past 18 hours. During that time collaboration, coordination, commitment, training, and leadership were all on display by the Illinois State Police, Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, and other law enforcement, fire, and rescue agencies. We were honored to house these groups in their efforts to end the incident. Our thoughts go out to the family, friends, and colleagues of Fulton County Deputy Troy Chisum, who gave his life in service of others.

The A-Town Athletic Dept. and OSF are partnering again this year to offer sports physicals for athletes going into 6-12 grades at the OSF Clinic in Abingdon. The cost is $10 per athlete. The will be held on July 17th from 3:45-6:45. Call 309-462-2343 to make an appointment.

Kindergarten Market @ HGS. K is selling handmade bracelets,slime,& lemonade to students using T-Bucks. @ the market I was helped by Hudson, Claire, and Makenzie. They counted money, made change, & a written receipt. Great use of number bond math. #Hedding #HGS #Atowntornadoes
