A-TOWN ATHLETIC BOOSTER CLUB MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the AABC is to encourage and support both morally and financially the Abingdon-Avon High School (AAHS) athletic philosophy as well as all sport and support groups.
AABC strives to promote sportsmanship, leadership, teamwork and a strong work ethic both on the field and in the classroom among our student-athletes.
AABC provides financial support through monies raised by volunteers to encourage excellence in our athletic programs.
We purchase supplies, equipment, and make capital improvements beyond what the school athletic budgets provide.
Joining the Booster Club and volunteering your time at school events are great ways to promote student-athletes and school spirit in and among the community in which we live.
WHO CAN JOIN? Membership is open to any person 18 years of age or older residing within the CUSD #276 boundaries who agrees to the purpose and function of the Club. Membership is also open to any parent/guardian that does not reside within the CUSD #276 boundaires, but has a child enrolled at AAHS who agrees to the purpose and function of the Club. We need volunteers to help with fundraising, concessions and other duties related to running a booster club. We welcome new fundraising ideas…. Let us know your ideas.
BENEFITS OF JOINING There are several benefits to becoming a member of our organization. One is to help the school run a top notch athletic program. Second it enables us to compete with area schools from a financial standpoint. Third we have a great time and many friendships are made.
HOW TO JOIN Come to any meeting or volunteer at a concession stand.
