1B First Graders learned about clouds this week so we had a cloud based science experiment! We made it rain by adding water to shaving cream to show how when a cloud fills with water it will turn to rain or snow!

There was a typo in the 4th and 5th Grade Christmas note I sent home, which mistakenly referred to first grade instead of fourth and fifth grade. The Fourth and Fifth Grade concert is scheduled for December 17 at 7:15 PM. The corrected note is attached below for clarity.
Fourth and Fifth-Grade Christmas Concert Information
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
We are excited to announce that the Fourth and Fifth Grade Christmas Concert will be held on December 17th, 2024, at 7:15 PM in the Abingdon-Avon High School Auditorium.
Arrival and Drop-off
Students must arrive by 7:00 PM and should be dropped off in their meeting rooms, located to the right of the entrance doors and down the ramp. A staff member will be present to guide you to the drop-off locations, and teachers will supervise the students starting at 7:00 PM. Please ensure that students are only dropped off in the meeting rooms when a teacher is present.
Pre -Concert Guidelines
We kindly request that concert attendees refrain from arriving before 7:00 PM, due to an earlier concert taking place. If you arrive before the conclusion of the Second and Third Grade concert, we ask that you show respect for the ongoing performance by avoiding loud conversations outside the auditorium doors. You are welcome to enter the auditorium immediately following the conclusion of the previous concert.
Attendance is strongly encouraged for all students as they have worked diligently to prepare for this concert. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
Sincerely,
Amelia Rakestraw
