Hedding Grade School hosted Open House on September 24. Open House at Hedding has been a tradition that brings out large numbers of families to enjoy an evening of meeting their student’(s) teachers, touring the school, meeting and learning about local civic organizations and businesses, and enjoying time visiting with other families over an ice cream cone.
We would like to thank all of the families who came to Open House this year, along with the teachers who spent the evening away from their families to make this event possible. We also extend our thanks to 1) Ag in the Classroom - Roxanne Green, 2) John Mosser Library, 3) Knox County Health Department - Erin Olson, 4) Abingdon United Methodist Church - Pastor Scott Carnes/Tracy Engstrom, 5) Abingdon Christian Church - Pastor Will Brown/Sharon Robinson, 6) - Tompkins State Bank, 7) Abingdon Police Department - Jennifer Littell, Craig McCluskey, Randy Wilson and Chief Cates, 8) Abingdon P.T.O. 9) 4-H Uof I Extension - Julien Inness, 10) Y.M.C.A. for setting up in the gym to provide information on the services they provide. A special thank you to Ryan and Mindy Knuth for bringing Twisted Treats.
