Survey of Tech students are working on their MakerTime projects. Students get to choose a project to work on every Friday in the MakerSpace and then create a final presentation in November. Spheros have been a popular project so far, as have Bloxels!

Meet the Tornadoes will take place this Friday, August 17th, at the high school. Activities will begin at 6 pm in the high school gymnasium with the volleyball scrimmage. The football scrimmage will take place at Don Viar Field at the conclusion of volleyball.
Nominations ballots for the Don Viar Memorial Wall of Fame are available in the Abingdon-Avon High School office.. The deadline for nominations is Friday, September 7th. The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, September 28th during the Homecoming game. Please contact the High School office with any questions.
Homecoming week has been set for September 24-29. The homecoming game is Friday September 28 vs Knoxville with the parade taking place that afternoon. More information will be forthcoming as to when and where the spirit activities will take place during the week.
The parent/player meeting for the high school football team will be held on Monday, August 6th at 6 pm in the High School Auditorium. All parents and players are encouraged to attend to discuss the season with the coaching staff.

A-Town Volleyball ran camp last week and we had a fantastic turn out from our little tornadoes! What a tough group of students toughing it out with the heat!
