Every student has a passion, but sometimes students are not given the time or tools to explore their passions. Not every student is proficient in Math, Science, English or Computers, but every student is proficient in something. Mrs. Horner has set out to help her students in Survey of Technology, find out what they are passionate about, and how they can bring it to life in the classroom. Many students have gravitated towards learning to code a Sphero and then driving the robot around the school, however some students are building a robot from scratch and exploring how to make it move by using computer parts. There are also students using this time in class to research colleges and scholarships as well as mixing music and creating video games using Bloxels. Regardless of their passion, students will spend every Friday exploring, tinkering and researching their passions and will then share a final presentation to their peers in November. What’s your passion?
