On Thursday, May 17, six members of the Class of 2018 at Abingdon-Avon High School graduated with their Associate of Arts degree from Carl Sandburg College. These students have participated in the dual credit program for the last two years. In those two years, they have completed 61 college credit hours while maintaining their high school work load as well. Those graduating include Lauren Stephens, Taylor Ginther, Shelby Beil, Dalton Ross, Jaron Postin, and Jack Landers.
Lauren is continuing her education at Eastern Illinois University, where she will study Dietetics.
Taylor will attend Monmouth College to study Business.
Shelby is attending the University of Wisconsin at Platteville to study Forensic Investigation.
Dalton will attend Methodist College to study Nursing.
Jaron is continuing on to Bradley University to study Engineering.
Jack is attending Butler University to study Advertising.
